DVDs & photographs
DVD transfers and printed-photo scanning, alongside family photos and videos already in digital form.
Slides or negatives? Please enquire. Scanning these is not currently a standard service; we will discuss whether we can help before accepting them.
The advertised starting price of £30 per tape applies to VHS. Other tape formats, DVDs, photo scanning and family archive work are individually quoted. Tell us about the format and condition so we can confirm suitability, delivery and price before work starts.

What is included in the transfer price?
Professional VHS transfers start from £30 per tape, including careful handling, transfer checks and delivery by digital download. Your full price is agreed before work begins.
Which formats can you help with?
VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, Video8, Hi8, Digital8, MiniDV, DVDs and printed photographs for scanning, plus existing digital photos and videos for archive work. Slides and negatives are enquiry-only, not a standard scanning service. See formats and pricing guidance.
Can I have my videos on USB?
Yes. USB delivery is an optional physical copy. The storage cost is included in your quote if you choose this option.
Can you collect my tapes?
Local collection can be arranged for Maldon and nearby villages. Tell Stuart where you’re based so you can agree the arrangements and any associated cost.
What if I have photos and videos as well as tapes?
Ask about a family archive. We’ll discuss your collection, the organisation you need, how you would like to receive it and backup copies. Archive work is separately scoped and quoted.
How long will it take, and what will the quality be like?
Stuart will discuss timing when quoting for your collection. Transfer quality depends on the original recording and tape condition; digitising cannot guarantee that every recording defect can be corrected.
